Summer Workshop Registration

Registration for Iberia Parish Library's Summer Workshops will be held from Sunday, May 1 through 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7 at the Main Library. Workshops are available for children ages 5-17 and for adults ages 18 and up. Pick up your brochure at any branch of the library. All workshops are held free of charge thanks to the generous support of the New Iberia Optimist Club, Teche Federal Bank, Cox Communications and Friends of the Library. Mother's Day Craft

Learn to download books!

Do you have an e-reader or other electronic media device that you would like to download free books to from Iberia Parish Library's online Overdrive database but aren't sure how? Now you can learn how to download books to your media devices in a free class. The class will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10 at the Main Library. To attend this free class, register by calling 364-7024. If you have an e-reader or other media device you may bring them with you to this class.

Spring Craft

Children of all ages are invited to make a spring craft at the Lydia Library. Drop in from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 to enjoy this free program. Some children may need parental assistance. Please let us know that you will be attending by calling 364-7808.

Pajama Storytime

Main Street Book Club

Movie Afternoon

Book Mark Contest

Iberia Parish Library, the Friends of the Library, Sir Speedy and The Daily Iberian are sponsoring the 13th annual bookmark contest for children to celebrate the 2011 Summer Reading Program. Children in preschool through grade six may enter. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Entries will be judged on originality, design and work that reflects the Summer Reading Program theme of, "One World, Many Stories." Entry forms are available at any branch of the library system and online at www.iberia.lib.la.us. Entries are due any time prior to Monday, May 2.
